Under the British dancing societies, Ballroom Dance is divided into 2 branches – Modern
Branch (5 dances: Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Tango), and Latin Branch
(5 dances: Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, Cha Cha Cha, Jive). Our Ballroom courses are
taught according to the syllabuses of the “Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing”
(ISTD) and the “International Dance Teachers’ Association” (IDTA). Each course
covers details of each dance, i.e. footwork, techniques, hand/arm/head positions and
movements, etc. The maximum intake of this class is 14 persons as to ensure the best
attention is paid to each student.
